Job Title: Room Service Server
Location: Toronto, ON
Part Time job
To deliver and serve room service food and beverage orders to guest rooms according to the established rules of etiquette; also assist in the maintenance of room service area and equipment.
Replenishes supplies of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes at the room service station.
Answers room service phone, answers questions, and takes orders from guests.
Relays order to kitchen and/or the bar.
Arranges orders on service trays, ensuring flair, sanitation, and timeliness of delivery
Alert Management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Coordinate VIP deliveries with appropriate departments. Set-up and deliver all VIP amenities
Collects trays delivered to keep hallways clear and assist the guest through the removal of food.
Completes side work as deemed necessary by management to ensure the smooth operations of the department.
Other duties as assigned.
Carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine.
Ability to perform repetitive actions consistently.
Basic reading, writing and math skills and at least 1 year of food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations
This job requires ability to perform the following:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
Moving about the kitchen
Handling food objects, products and utensils

Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, and supervisor.
Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash and credit.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
